Thousands of people across Greater Manchester could be in with a chance of winning big this summer in the St Ann’s Hospice annual raffle.
The hospice, which offers care to thousands of local people and their loved ones each year, is giving away £5,000 to one lucky winner, alongside five runner up prizes of £50 and ten early bird prizes of a £10 gift card for M&S.
Entries start at £1 per ticket with the £5,000 prize winner announced on Monday, July 18. The raffle will raise vital funds for the local hospice.
Lottery Manager, Trudi Ogden said: “Our summer raffle is a highlight in our annual calendar, helping to raise vital funds that mean our staff can continue to support local people from across Greater Manchester and parts of Cheshire.
“Every ticket bought helps us make a difference to the lives of the people we care for, so please do join in and buy a ticket or two. You could potentially win big too!”
Final entries for the raffle close on Sunday, July 3, giving supporters plenty of time to be in the draw.
Amanda Connors, Team Leader in the hospice’s Being You Centre, said: “I see every day the amazing impact that the money raised from activities such as our raffle makes to our patients and those closest to them.
“We help people living with a life-limiting illness to get back to feeling like themselves again. Everyone’s goals are different, so we tailor our services to each patients’ individual needs.
“Creative therapy, for example, is something that many of our patients enjoy and is really effective in allowing time to reflect and communicate thoughts and feelings.
“We can also help patients create memory boxes for their loved ones – buying just 20 tickets for the Summer Raffle could pay for the materials needed for one of these, packed full of special memories and made with love.”

They care for people with life-limiting illnesses from its three sites in Heald Green in Stockport, Greater Manchester, Little Hulton in Salford, Greater Manchester, and The Neil Cliffe Centre in Wythenshawe Hospital, in Wythenshawe, Greater Manchester, as well as via a range of community and outreach services.
