Spring has arrived and summer will be on its way and readers have been enjoying the signs of spring as flowers bloom, days get warmer and animals are born.

Photos from, Wallsend, Killingworth, Ryton, Blaydon, Tyne and Wear have been sent in. Alongside Brasside and Ushaw Moor, County Durham and Alnwick, Northumberland.

The signs of spring bring joy to many people. Lifting our moods from the darker winter days and filling the outdoors with colour.
